Cole Hauser Has EXCITING News to Share — and ‘Yellowstone’ Fans Aren’t Ready

Dutton Ranch is officially happening—and the actor has something to say about it. It looks like we won’t have to wait much longer for Cole Hauser to be back on TV.

Since the final episode of Yellowstone aired in December 2024, fans have been begging for the chance to see Cole reprise his role as Rip Wheeler. Couple that with rumors of him and Kelly Reilly (who portrayed Rip’s wife, Beth Dutton) starring in a Yellowstone sequel series, and it makes sense that folks would have high hopes for his return to TV.

The wait might just be over sooner rather than later, according to a surprise announcement on Instagram on March 13. Fans learned the Yellowstone sequel, titled Dutton Ranch, would be “coming soon” to Paramount+. What’s more, Cole went to his own Instagram account to tease fans about his involvement with the show.

“Here … We … Go,” he wrote in the caption.

Shortly after the news broke, Cole’s wife, Cynthia Daniel, jumped into the chat to share her feelings. “❤️👏🔥,” Cynthia replied to his IG post in the comments.

Fans were thrilled that they’d get to see Rip Wheeler—and subsequently, Cole—on the small screen earlier than they expected.

“STOPPPPP…. RIP IS BACK!?!??! 😱😱😱😱😍😍😍😍😍😍😍,” one person screamed. “So very excited for this Cole, can’t wait to see you and Kelly continue to rock it on screen. The journey has been amazing and it’s so good to have them back. ❤️🔥,” another penned. “Saddle up, check your tack, let’s ride ❤️🔥👏,” a different follower added.

The official Paramount+ website features a quick synopsis of the show. “In Dutton Ranch, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) are striking out on their own and relocating for a new adventure. Their ward, Carter (Finn Little), is along for the ride, and—despite serious distractions—Beth and Rip work hard to ensure he becomes the man he’s meant to be.”

Importantly, Dutton Ranch isn’t the only Yellowstone spinoff in the works. Fans can already tune in to Marshals every Sunday night on CBS, which follows Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) as he settles in as a U.S. marshal in the heart of Texas.

Looks like we have a lot of exciting TV!
