Elliot and Billy Bob Thornton recently sat down for a chat to talk about the second season of Landman, and they also addressed the future of the series. Elliot even seemingly confirmed that the show has already been renewed for Season 3:
“I’m excited to see what unfolds in Season 3. I mean, we’re talking about Season 2, but that’s backstory for us at this point, and we’re all kind of looking toward April and May when we start shooting Season 3.”
Sounds like Landman fans won’t have to wait long for Season 3 after the Season 2 finale.
The fate of Landman hung in the balance for months after the Season 1 finale, and it wasn’t until earlier this year that Paramount finally confirmed that a second season of the show was in the works. Things moved quickly from there, with production starting shortly after and the series once again hitting a November release date. Landman is Paramount and Taylor Sheridan’s biggest new series, so it’s no surprise it’s being prioritized as such.
