Landman Season 2 Casting Update Just Resolved A Major Complaint About Demi Moore’s Involvement

Landman season 2 has already resolved a major complaint related to Demi Moore with the latest filming update. In the Paramount+ oil drama, which is co-created by Christian Wallace and Taylor Sheridan, Moore plays the role of Cami Moore.

She’s the wife of Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) and a friend to the main protagonist Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), but Moore’s character doesn’t factor greatly into the show’s first ten episodes. Though she stepped into the spotlight in a big way for the Landman season 1 finale, the limited screen time for an Oscar-nominated performer raised a few eyebrows.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that filming has begun on Landman season 2, adding that Moore’s name will appear second in the credits moving forward. This means that Cami is expected to have a significantly increased presence on-screen. For the first season, Moore’s name appeared second-to-last in the credits. It’s a placement frequently reserved for when high-profile actors are part of a film or television series.

What This Means For Landman Season 2: Cami’s Bigger Role Has Already Been Teased

Demi Moore as Cami in Landman

For a sense of how infrequently Moore appears in the initial installment of Landman, it’s worth noting that Cami didn’t appear in three episodes out of ten. When she does make her debut in the second episode, the camera hardly focuses on her as the attention is all on Monty.

Considering that the series was coming out in late 2024, just as Coralie Fargeat’s body horror film The Substance was gaining steam for Moore’s lead performance, which ultimately garnered an Oscar nomination, the difference was striking. In several scenes, Cami would just be seen swimming.
