Fresh off her Oscar nomination for Best Actress in “The Substance,” Demi Moore is back in Fort Worth filming “Landman” season 2.
The actress posted an Instagram story about midday April 7, saying that it was her first day back on set of the oil drama series. Moore plays Cami Miller, the wife to oil tycoon Monty Miller (Jon Hamm), and old friend of Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton).
While Moore didn’t share much about filming, she did say that the socks she was wearing are from her daughter Rumer Willis, and that her custom shoes have a picture of her dog Pilaf on them. See the photo below.
What role does Demi Moore play in ‘Landman?’

Moore appeared in every episode of “Landman” season 1, although didn’t say much.
For most of the season, her character Cami was seen interacting with Monty frequently and Tommy occasionally. Moore saw increased screen time later in the season as Monty recovered from a heart attack. She also discussed the future of the M-TEX Oil company with Tommy.
When Paramount announced that production had begun on “Landman” season 2, Moore was second-billed in the cast behind Thornton, meaning that she will likely have an “elevated” role this go-around, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This would make sense, since Hamm’s character dies in the season 1 finale and leaves control of the billionaire dollar company in the hands of Moore and Thornton.
Moore is coming off an Oscar nomination, her first, for Best Leading Actress for “The Substance.” The horror film is about a fading celebrity that takes a black-market drug that can temporarily create a younger, better version of herself.

The Thornton-led series premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024 and wrapped its 10-episode first season on Jan. 12. The drama is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, who created the “Boomtown” Texas Monthly podcast on which the show is based.
“Landman” season 1 starred Thornton, Moore, Hamm, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore and Mark Collie. Michael Peña, Andy Garcia and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones appeared in guest roles. All episodes of “Landman” season 1 are streaming on Paramount+.
