The Madison is one of several spin-offs in the works in the Yellowstone universe, and it is already set to become yet another major hit for Paramount+. The Madison, a Yellowstone spin-off, has allegedly secured a second season renewal before its inaugural season even hits screens.
Set to launch in late 2025 or early 2026, this Taylor Sheridan creation will follow a fresh family’s move from New York to Montana. Leading an all-star ensemble that features Suits’ Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox and Beau Garrett is Hollywood legend Michelle Pfeiffer.
Among multiple planned spin-offs, The Madison is anticipated to deliver another major win for Paramount+ after the Yellowstone prequels, 1883 and 1923. According to Deadline, the streaming platform maintains tremendous confidence in producer Sheridan, who was praised as the backbone of the service’s programming at a recent media gathering.

Paramount’s Chair of Direct-to-Consumer Cindy Holland declared, “On Paramount+ today, we have a really great foundation, which is the Taylor Sheridan universe.” CEO David Ellison praised Sheridan as “a singular genius with a perfect track record.” Portions of the upcoming season are scheduled to film at Sheridan’s Texas production facility.
The Madison’s early renewal certainly reinforces assertions that Yellowstone stands as Paramount’s most lucrative franchise by far, even following Kevin Costner’s John Dutton’s exit from the original series. The upcoming spin-off promises a fresh perspective on ranch life as the city-dwelling family takes on rural Montana, with many of our favorite Dutton characters set to continue their journey.

A whopping four spin-offs are confirmed to be in the works, and there’s even buzz about a potential secret fifth installment. While details have been scant regarding the Four Sixes Ranch spin-off and the 1944 prequel, other projects are making headway and are expected to hit screens within the next few years.
Luke Grimes is slated to reprise his role as Kayce Dutton in the upcoming Y: Marshals, which will air on CBS. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are also set to return as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler in their own respective series.

In addition, it was recently announced that a series titled Rio Palo, reportedly set in the Yellowstone universe, has kicked off filming in Ferris, Texas.
This new series is expected to introduce an entirely new storyline without any established characters, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of surprise cameos from familiar faces. Fans can stream the Yellowstone franchise on Paramount+. The Madison is scheduled to premiere in late 2025 or early 2026.
