Because the Duggar girls usually marry young, Jim Bob’s oldest daughter wasn’t expected to quickly get pregnant. After all, she was already in her thirties before she tied the knot. However, almost exactly a year after their wedding, Jana Duggar and Stephen announced that they expected their first baby. This week, more news arrived, and, as was common on the reality TV show, a gender reveal is on the way. Well, if Michelle and her husband wanted more and more grandkids, John-David’s twin sister didn’t disappoint. And now she’s been engaging her followers with interactive posts.
The Gender Reveal Set-Up
Her latest Instagram revealed a scene with pink and blue balloons. TLC fans have seen that sort of thing before, and like her many siblings, Jana also had a big sign up about whether they would have a boy or a girl.
Nonetheless, she didn’t actually show the gender or give any clues away. Instead, in her caption, she wrote, “Put your guesses in! New gender reveal video coming soon!”
Fan Try & Guess
Everyone seems to like interactive posts, so there was no shortage of guesses. But at the same time, some folks wondered why Jana’s twin brother John David was in the photo along with Abbie Burnett. Still, others played the gender game. One follower wrote, “boy and girl,” presuming that Jana might have twins because she is one. Alternatively, they wondered if both couples would maybe do a joint gender reveal. So, a few people guessed a reveal for both Abbie and Jana. It actually could be a joint reveal because John-David and his wife expect a third child to arrive early next year. Already, they raise two kids, Grace and Charlotte.
Posting a Video?
The caption that promised a video gender reveal hasn’t happened yet, at least not on YouTube. Some social media creators claim that the gender reveal came ages ago and that Jana expects a girl. However, no mainstream media has picked up on that. No doubt, in time, Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann will release the video. So until then, fans will have to wait to find out not only the gender, but whether John and his wife also do a reveal at the same time.
