Landman star Kayla Wallace surprised fans on Tuesday with her pregnancy reveal. The 32-year-old brunette shared the news on Instagram as she flashed her large bump: ‘We can’t wait to meet you, baby♥️ Premiering 2026,’ she wrote in her caption.
The brunette then flashed her midsection at the season two Landman premiere in New York City later that evening. She was clearly several months along as she held her bump while in a satin ivory minidress with black gloves and stockings. Also with the veteran soap opera actress was her husband Kevin McGarry, who is also an actor. He is known for his various roles in Hallmark projects, such as When Calls The Heart, A Reason For The Season and The Wedding Veil.
Last year she briefly opened up to Entertainment Tonight about their marriage.
‘He supports me through everything,’ the actress gushed. ‘We were lucky enough for him to be able to come with me to Texas. He drove me to Texas,’ she added while referencing the Landman shoot. ‘He’s the most supportive husband ever and I am just so grateful that we get to experience this together.’
In regards to the couple’s wedding, Wallace was asked what the ‘best part’ of the ceremony was – aside from marrying her ‘soulmate. I mean, what stands out to me are vows. That was just an experience that I… it’s once-in-a- lifetime. I was on cloud nine!’
In September 2024 it was confirmed that the lovebirds had said ‘I do’ after announcing their engagement in December 2022. While attending the Hearties Family Reunion fan event, Kevin joined other stars on stage for a live panel discussion in front of an audience, per a short clip shared to Instagram.
At one point, the host commented on the actor wearing a band on his left hand and stated, ‘You’ve got a ring on your finger. I hope it’s not a prop.’
McGarry held a big smile on his face while holding up his hand to confirm that he was married, causing the crowd to erupt into cheers and applause. While it is not known when the pair exactly tied the knot, Kayla and Kevin announced their engagement on social media in late 2022 shortly before Christmas. At the time, the two uploaded a reel to Instagram as Wallace showed off a diamond ring on her left hand. The stars then shared a sweet kiss for the camera and the caption of the video simply read: ‘Forever,’ followed by a red heart emoji.
Wallace and McGarry first met when they were cast in the Hallmark series, When Calls The Heart, in 2018. He took on the role of a Hope Valley Mountie named, Nathan Grant, while Kayla portrayed the character of Fiona Miller. While McGarry is still a part of the series, the actress notably left the show before the 11th season due to scheduling conflicts. Although the pair are married in real life, they notably did not play love interests on the show – with Kevin falling in love with Elizabeth Thornton, played by Erin Krakow.
Kayla and Kevin have also starred in other Hallmark channel projects together, including the 2022 movie Feeling Butterflies. She has since stepped away from the world of Hallmark to play Rebecca Falcone in the Paramount+ series, Landman.
