Erin mentioned staying in ICU for weeks, suffering from many complications, including an intense seizure. She couldn’t recall all the things that happened, but she remembers some of her siblings visiting to check on her, especially Lawson.
Erin was told that she had postclampsia, reaching a point where cardiologists, urologists, and neurologists had to join her medical team. Chad admitted that he’s traumatized by what happened to his wife. But their prayers were answered, and Erin is now trying her best to regain her strength.
Has Erin Fully Recovered?
Erin has yet to fully recover, though she’s now back home. The Bringing Up Bates star revealed that the doctors still don’t know what’s causing her leg to dysfunction. Chad also revealed that everyone was impressed by how Erin took her health crisis positively, adding that he would be miserable if he were in her shoes. Erin is still limping today, but they’re now noticing improvements in her walking. Many fans on Reddit reacted to Erin’s condition, hoping she would soon recover.
- “I’m sure he is traumatized. Hopefully he’s traumatized enough to ensure she never gets pregnant again.”
- “How terrifying. I’m glad she and Henry survived all of that. I hope they’ve come to their senses and will stop having babies now but I’m still predicting one last miracle baby if she can get pregnant again.
- “I think when Erin looked at Chad in the ICU and told him she was going to leave him a widow with 7 children that hit home. Having your spouse look at you and say that would be pretty heart stopping.”
- “As troubling as their family is, I did cry seeing Gil trying to encourage Erin telling her she was not going to die. Deep down they are human like we are, just with very misplaced beliefs.”
