This Actress Wants Taylor Sheridan to Turn Landman Into His New Yellowstone

Landman star believes in the possibility of a new Taylor Sheridan universe after the success of Yellowstone. Michelle Randolph, who plays Ainsley Norris in Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, hopes to appear in more installments of the famed oilfield drama series. According to her, there are still many stories they can squeeze out from all the characters. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, she expressed enthusiasm over more sequels and spin-offs:

I feel like we could go on and on and on because what I always have to remind myself — the first season was 10 days in the show so I’m like, we could film the show for so long because it’s not like it’s one season taking place over a year or anything.

Landman has so much potential to follow in the footsteps of Yellowstone, Sheridan’s most successful franchise to date. The show spawned five seasons and several prequels and spin-offs, mostly receiving critical acclaim.

Sheridan’s contract with Paramount isn’t ending anytime soon, and he still has until 2028 to cook things up for Landman. That said, co-creator and executive producer Christian Wallace claimed they have barely scratched the surface of this oil business drama and the things they could still dive into. In his interview with ScreenRant, he shared a hopeful statement about Landman’s future:

I just think that there’s a lot of runway left, and as long as there’s a story to tell and people are there for it, I hope we get to keep telling it.

Sheridan will be leaving Paramount by the end of 2028. He signed a five-year deal with NBCUniversal, where he will soon establish his new television empire. Until then, he will remain involved in all of his existing franchises, including Landman. There’s so much opportunity to create multiple spin-offs within the remaining years of his contract with Paramount. With fans’ appreciation for the Billy Bob Thornton-led show and the cast members’ eagerness to continue playing their roles, there’s no reason not to pursue this route.

Taylor Sheridan Reportedly Set to Write Landman Season 3

Sam Elliott also provided a more concrete update about the show’s production. Speaking with ExtraTV, he said Season 3 is expected to begin filming in April or May 2026. Season 2 premiered last November with new episodes dropping every Sunday. The show will wrap up on January 18, 2026.
