Beth & Rip ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff ‘Dutton Ranch’ Sets Premiere, Unveils Trailer, First-Look Images

“A legacy is a beautiful thing, but only if it survives,” says Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton in the trailer for the latest Yellowstone spinoff, Dutton Ranch.

The trailer released Monday (see it below)  reveals that the Dutton sister and her husband Rip, played by Cole Hauser, are continuing much of their behavior from five seasons of the Taylor Sheridan drama series. There’s explosions, fires, sexy romps and guns, this time behind a beautiful Texas sunset rather than a Montana one.

Dutton Ranch will premiere on Paramount+ on May 15 at 8 p.m. with two episodes. It will also air on Paramount Network.

The nine-part series follows Beth and Rip as they fight to build a future together. At the end of Season Five of Yellowstone [SPOILER ALERT], Beth’s brother Jamie, played by Wes Bentley, tries to kill her before Rip intervenes, allowing her to stab her brother to death. The couple then start a new life on a new ranch with Carter, played by Finn Little, who they looked after in the original series. Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind also star in the new series.

Little also returns in Dutton Ranch, which also stars Ed Harris and Annette Bening. Harris plays Everett McKinney, a weathered veteran and veterinarian, while Bening stars as Beulah Jackson, the powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.

In the series, Beth and Rip collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul, per the logline.

The Dutton Ranch is one of two Yellowstone spinoffs launching this year; Marshals, starring Luke Grimes, premiered on CBS earlier this year. Spencer Hudnut, showrunner of Marshals, recently revealed that both shows exist in the same timeline and universe, suggesting that there is the possibility of a crossover at some point.

Dutton Ranch is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. It was created by Chad Feehan, who also created Taylor Sheridan’s Lawmen: Bass Reeves. He serves as showrunner and exec produces alongside Taylor Sheridan, John Linson David C. Glasser, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Keith Cox.
