“Best News Yet!” The Madison Season 2 Update Has Fans CHEERING: Here’s What We Know

‘The Madison’ Season 2 Is Already on the Way!

The Madison has just wrapped Season 1, but Season 2 of the new drama from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan is already on the way. Read on to discover everything there is to know about The Madison Season 2. It’s already been a busy year for Yellowstone fans! And somehow, there’s still more coming. Between all the buzz around Beth and Rip’s next chapter in Dutton Ranch and the news that Marshals (Kayce’s story) is moving ahead with another season, it feels like the world created by Taylor Sheridan just keeps growing. But one of the biggest surprises lately has been The Madison. It might not follow the Dutton family directly, but it’s very much part of that same universe—and it pulled in a lot of new viewers thanks to its big-name cast and emotional story. And here’s the part fans didn’t necessarily see coming: The Madison has already filmed Season 2.

Yes, Season 2 of The Madison is already done filming.

Even though Paramount+ hasn’t officially announced a second season yet, the cast has made it pretty clear that more episodes are on the way. Kurt Russell shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the team ended up filming beyond the first season earlier than expected due to scheduling. Around the same time, Elle Chapman, who plays Paige, mentioned on Instagram that filming for Season 2 had wrapped. So while we’re still waiting on a formal announcement, all signs point to the story continuing.

What is The Madison about?

If you haven’t started it yet, The Madison centers on the Clyburn family after a sudden tragedy changes everything. Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Stacy Clyburn, a wife and mom whose life is turned upside down after her husband, Preston, dies in a plane crash. In the immediate aftermath, she and her family leave New York and head to Montana to take care of everything he left behind. What starts as a trip quickly becomes something bigger as they spend more time there and begin to understand a side of Preston’s life they didn’t fully see before.

A lot of the story follows Stacy and her daughters as they try to figure out what comes next. They’re grieving, they’re frustrated, they don’t always handle things well, and they don’t always agree with each other. Back in New York, there’s pressure to return to normal, but that’s easier said than done. And in Montana, there’s this constant reminder of Preston, from the land he loved to the people who knew him in a completely different way. It’s a different feel from Yellowstone, but that Montana backdrop still gives it that familiar sense of place.

Everything we know about The Madison Season 2.

Details on the plot of the series’ second season are still pretty limited, but a few of the cast members have hinted at what’s ahead. In an interview with The Wrap, Pfeiffer said Season 2 brings “a surprising amount of laughs and comical relief,” even as the family continues working through everything that happened in Season 1. Kurt Russell also told Entertainment Weekly that the new episodes will dig even deeper into those emotions, especially as the reality of their loss really starts to sink in. And if you watched the finale, you know there’s still a lot left unresolved!

Who’s in The Madison Season 2 cast?

Pfeiffer, Russell, and Chapman are all expected to return, along with much of the main cast. One person who won’t be back is Matthew Fox, who confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he’s not continuing with the series. Season 2 is also expected to follow the same format as the first, with six episodes.

When will it be released?

There’s no official release date just yet, but with filming already finished, it hopefully won’t be too long before we’re back in Montana with this family again. In the meantime, if you’ve been keeping up with everything happening in the Yellowstone world, The Madison is shaping up to be another story worth sticking with!
