Alyssa Bates Shocks Fans With Homeschool Footage of Her Kids

Alyssa Bates Webster of Bringing Up Bates fame brought up a fan request during a recent social media share. The star noted fans wanted a video about her daughters’ homeschooling curriculum. Alyssa answered their requests with a video about the 2025-2026 school year. Sharing her choices for the year, many fans also shared their reactions.

Alyssa Bates Had Four Curriculums Planned Out For Her Daughters

Alyssa is the sixth child of Gil and Kelly Bates. She and her family became known to audiences through the Up TV series, Bringing Up Bates, which originally ran from 2015 to 2021.

In her personal life, Alyssa married John Webster in 2014. Since then, they have started their own family together, including their children Rhett, Allie, Lexi, Zoey and Maci.

Taking to Instagram, Alyssa shared that she had been receiving requests to film her children’s homeschool curriculum. With the video, she revealed that she “finally got around to filming” the curriculum for 2025-2026.

Starting things off, Alyssa shared that Maci was doing the Abeka curriculum for kindergarten. She would be using DVDS, with Alyssa noting that they hadn’t come in yet.

Alyssa then shared Zoey’s seat and shared some of her third-grade textbooks, including math and language arts. Saying they came from Master Books, she noted she loves everything they make. She also shared Zoey would be doing zoology for science.

Moving on, Alyssa shared Lexi’s fourth-grade curriculum. Starting with history, she noted Lexi was doing “Story of the World Part 2,” which Alyssa noted she was also teaching in co-op. After sharing a geography book, Alyssa showcased a paleontology book for science, noting her daughter’s love of dinosaurs. It was also noted that she and Zoey would also be studying cursive.

Many Fans Were Familiar With Master Books & Touched On Their Own Experiences

Alyssa moved on to Allie, who was in the sixth-grade curriculum. Starting with history, she shared Allie and Lexi were taking her class together. For geography, she noted her daughter would be studying the holy land.

Alyssa also noted that Allie would also be studying life science for the year. She also noted she had discovered the online resource, Nicole the Math Lady, to help with mathematics.

As noted on their website, Master Books offers families a homeschool curriculum with a faith-based approach. Taking to the comments, many fans who were familiar with them shared their own experiences with Alyssa.
