‘Landman’ Cast: Who You’ll See in Season 2 of the Taylor Sheridan Show

When it comes to life in the Wild West, a lot of people think of horseback-riding cowboys who say “yee-haw” all the time. But it turns out that there’s another group of people who are just as wild and just as western. They are the oil plant owners, workers and family members, and Taylor Sheridan—best known for Yellowstone, 1883 and 1923—explores those relationships in his Texas-based drama Landman. Below, we look into who is who in the cast and find out if they’re expected to appear in season 2. Read on for more.

Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris

Billy Bob Thornton is an Oscar-winning actor who was born in 1955 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Prior to Landman, he was in The Outsiders (1990), Hearts Afire (1992 to 1995), Sling Blade (1996), A Simple Plan (1998), Bandits (2001), Love Actually (2003), Bad Santa I & II (2003 and 2016 ) Fargo (2014 to 2017), Goliath (2016 to 2021). He was also in one episode of Sheridan’s other show, 1883, in 2021.

“I went to the [1883] premiere in Las Vegas, and after that we had dinner and Taylor sat next to me and he said, ‘Listen, I’ve got a thing I’m going to write around you. It’s called Landman, it takes place in the oil business, and I’m going to write it in your voice because I think I’ve known you long enough now to write in your voice,’” Thornton told The Hollywood Reporter in 2024. “And when I read the first script, I was like, ‘Wow, you did, didn’t you?’ Because I read it and was, like, ‘Yeah, that’s kind of me if I were a landman.’ So, it was pretty awesome.”

Thornton is expected to reprise his role as Tommy Norris—the show’s lead character—in season 2. He is 69 and has been with his wife, Connie Angland, since 2014. He has four children.

Ali Larter as Angela Norris

Actress and former model Ali Larter plays Thornton’s on-screen wife, Angela Norris. Her previous credits include Drive Me Crazy (1999), Final Destination (2000), Legally Blonde (2001),  Heroes (2006 to 2010), Obsessed (2009)  Legends (2014), Pitch (2016), The Rookie (2019 to 2020) and The Man in the White Van (2023). She is expected to be in Landman season 2.

“She’s a total spitfire,” Larter told Elle of her character in January. “You see her going to the bar and she wants the attention. She loves having fun. It’s not a dirty word to her. And then you see Tommy really loves her for who she is.”

She continues, “She thinks of her job as going to the gym and looking great. But you’re also watching the reverse engineering of a trophy wife, someone who’s had all this and is coming back to where she belongs.”

The 49-year-old actress has been married to husband Hayes MacArthur since 2009. They have two children together.

Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris

Just like her on-screen father, Thornton, Michelle Randolph has been in another Sheridan project. In fact, her role as Elizabeth Dutton in 1923 is probably what she is best known for.

“Honestly, Taylor Sheridan takes chances on actors, and he’s one of the few people I feel like in the industry who really does that and has given us this opportunity,” the actress told PEOPLE. “And I just am eternally grateful for him.”

Randolph will be in season 2 of the show. She is 27, and her non-Sheridan credits include House of the Witch (2017), A Snow White Christmas (2018), 5 Years Apart (2021) and The Throwback (2024).

Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris

The last member of the Norris family is Cooper, who Jacob Lofland plays. Previously, he was in Justified (2014), Texas Rising (2015), Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015), Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018), The Son (2017 to 2019) and Joker: Folie à Deux (2024). That was the last thing he was in before Landman.

“I really connected with the oil field in general,” Lofland told Interview Magazine in April. “My dad used to do it. I just lost my dad this last year, actually, so it means a lot. He told me all these stories. I really love showing this world we’ve never gotten to see inside of. No one understands how dangerous it really is and how much we rely on it, so I wanted to be a part of bringing that to the forefront.”

Lofland is 28 years old and originally from Briggsville, Arkansas.

Paulina Chávez as Ariana

Paulina Chávez plays Ariana in Landman. Previously, she was in Colossal Youth (2018), Feliz NaviDAD (2020), The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia (2020), Fate: The Winx Saga (2022) and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip (2025).

“I think Ariana is a very strong and resilient character, and I think we see that from the beginning,” Chávez told TVinsder in December 2024. “She’s a very, very smart young lady and really trusts her intuition, [but] she’s worried about being judged by outside people who don’t know what’s actually happening, especially Elvio’s family. What are they gonna say? And so I do believe that she is not afraid to speak her mind.”

She is 22 years old, originally from El Paso, Texas and is expected to return for season 2.

Kayla Wallace as Rebecca Falcone

Kayla Wallace is a 31-year-old actress from Vancouver Island, Canada. You may recognize her from Descendants (2015), A Song for Christmas (2017), When Calls the Heart (2019 to 2025), Heatwave (2022) and My Grown-Up Christmas List (2022)—which was the last thing she worked on before Landman.

“I was pinching myself the whole way, because this is a dream job. I feel so lucky to be a part of this project,” Wallace told PEOPLE in 2024. “You just don’t think you’re going to get hit with family and heartbreak and loss, and all of these crazy themes that are just so relatable to the everyday person.”

The actress will be in season 2 and is married to actor Kevin McGarry.

Mark Collie as Sheriff Walt Joeberg

No Sheridan show is complete without a sheriff, and in Landman, that role was taken on by Mark Collie.

“It’s so many different energies, good versus evil, and everybody in the middle coming together. It was impactful to me,” Collie said, per Collider. “I didn’t realize how much it would be and how real it would feel, but everything in here feels very real. Every conversation is real.”

The actor’s other credits include Fire Down Below (1997), Jericho (2000), The Punisher (2004) and Nashville (2015 to 2016). He is 69 years old and has been married to wife Tammy Stewart since 2009.

James Jordan as Dale Bradley

Originally from Houston, Texas James Jordan is an actor whose credits include Seraphim Falls (2006), Veronica Mars (2006 to 2019), Best Night Ever (2013), Mayor of Kingstown (2021 to 2022), Yellowstone (2019 to 2022) and Lioness (2023 to 2024)—with the last three being created by Sheridan himself.

“I think a great writer, a deep writer like Taylor is—like any writer that has depth to them—wants to find an ensemble of actors that he recycles,” Jordan told Taste of Country. “I think he enjoys seeing us swing for the fences, trying to hit those home runs with his material. And when you have someone that is poetic and that brilliant, who thoughtfully designs his stories so well, that’s what attracts you as an actor. It’s constantly challenging to play these people that he writes and bring them to life in such an interesting way.”

The actor is 46 years old and should be in season 2 of Landman.

Demi Moore as Cami Miller

Demi Moore is one of the most recognizable actresses of all time. Her credits include General Hospital (1982 to 1984), St. Elmo’s Fire (1985), Ghost (1990), Indecent Proposal (1993), Striptease (1996), G.I. Jane (1997), Bobby (2006) and The Substance (2024). She plays Cami Miller in Landman, the wife of one of the most powerful men in town. She is expected to be in season 2.

“It’s a very interesting world in the boomtown of Fort Worth, Texas. It’s kind of this subculture that we haven’t seen before, which is what I think Taylor does so well,” Moore said in May 2024, per Deadline. “I play an oil tycoon’s wife… lots of nice clothes. The substance of it is really exploring the issues around oil, petroleum, on all sides…and then of course—as Taylor does so well—there’s delicious drama within and family dynamics.”

The actress is 62, has three kids, has been married three times and can often be found with her dog, Pilaf.

Colm Feore as Nathan

Rounding out the Landman cast is none other than Colm Feore. His other projects include Truman (1995), Face/Off (1997), City of Angels (1998), Chicago (2002), Paycheck (2003), Intervention (2007), 24 (2009), Thor (2011), House of Cards (2016 to 2017) and The Umbrella Academy (2019 to 2024). In Landman, he plays Nathan, an oil company administrator and attorney.

As of now, there is no official word on whether Feore will be in season 2. He is 66 years old and has been married to his wife, Donna Feore,  since 1994.
