‘Landman’ Has Major Continuity and Editing Mistake After Billy Bob Thornton’s Full-Frontal Scene
Landman appeared to have a possible editing — and continuity — mistake in a scene following Billy Bob Thornton‘s full-frontal moment. During a December episode of the Paramount+ series, Tommy (Thornton) returned after a hard day at work just in time for Angela’s (Ali Larter) famous Norris family dinner. The rest of the family was already digging in on Taco Night — and there was a shot of Tommy’s plate with an omelette on it. The camera switched over to Tommy and then back to the table, which no longer had any food waiting for Tommy.
The omelette was brought back up when Angela delivered it to the table once Tommy took a seat nearly 10 minutes later. For fans of Taylor Sheridan’s hit show, the breakfast dish played a big role in the episode after Angela and Tommy fought over him accidentally flashing an employee at a hotel.
The hotel worker started to scream when Tommy — who was still asleep — rolled over and accidentally exposed himself. The woman asked that Tommy not “rape” her, which is when Angela rushed in from the bathroom.
“Put your d*** away!” Angela told Tommy before addressing the hotel employee. “Don’t be scared, darling. That wasn’t about you. He eats [prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction] Cialis like M&Ms and runs into door jams all morning with that thing. I’m so sorry about that.” Angela started to argue with Tommy after the woman left.
“I was trying to surprise you with breakfast in bed. … That is not the best angle of your ball sack, I might add. You really have to love a man to look at him from there. Poor thing. If she wasn’t a lesbian when she walked in here, she’s a f***ing lesbian now,” she said. “I’m getting dressed. My husband flashes the waitstaff and that kind of kills the mood.”
Tommy, meanwhile, blamed Angela for giving him “an extra pill” the night before. “Now, what do I do with this f***ing thing?” he asked. “I might f*** the whole breakfast. The waffles, the fruit, the goddamn bagel and the omelette. The omelette is the first thing that’s getting f***ed. You better order another one because that one is f***ed.”
Later in the episode, Angela got back at Tommy by giving him an omelette for dinner. They were able to work out their differences though and were back on good terms before the credits rolled.
Season 2 of Landman still has a few episodes to go after positioning Tommy as the new president of M-Tex. Before the finale, star Jacob Lofland teased exclusively to Us Weekly what viewers can expect from the show.
“There’s definitely some twists, turns and surprises that are coming in the next episodes. There’s a few things that I don’t think anyone sees coming. I definitely didn’t,” he hinted last month. “There’s some awesome surprises — good and bad — but it’s all going to work out.”
He concluded: “That’s one thing about a Taylor [Sheridan] show. When things are going too smooth, there’s usually something coming. … I think everyone’s going to be excited to watch the rest of the season.”
New episodes of Landman season 2 premiere via Paramount+ every Sunday.
