Landman and 1923 actress Michelle Randolph has landed the female lead in the Amazon MGM Studios movie Clashing Through The Snow opposite The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s Christopher Briney.
As Deadline first told you, Upgraded filmmaker Carlson Young is directing the Wonderland Sound and Vision production which is described as a Planes Trains and Automobiles for today’s generation. Cameras roll next month. Clashing Through The Snow reps Randolph’s first co-starring role in a feature film.
Randolph currently plays the breakout character Ainsley Norris in the Tyler Sheridan co-created Paramount+ series Landman opposite Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Ali Larter and Jon Hamm. The series has broken audience records as the largest global premiere week for originals for the service.
Prior to that, the actress played a crucial role in Sheridan’s Western P+ series 1923 opposite Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, the show nominated for Best Drama Series at the 2024 Golden Globes. Up next she stars in Paramount and Spyglass’ Scream 7 in theaters on Feb. 27. The actress is repped by UTA, D2 Management and Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman.
Daniel Mackey and Rebecca Ewing wrote the screenplay as a follow-up to their Netflix hit Love Hard which was a top performing title for the OTT service.
Wonderland Sound and Vision partners McG and Mary Viola are producing with Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment. Industry Entertainment’s Kyle Luker will executive produce along with Oscar-winning filmmaker Ari Sandel (West Bank Story).
Wonderland’s previous streaming hits include Amazon’s Musica as well as two of Netflix’s most watched Holiday romantic comedies to date: Love Hard and Holidate which racked up over a combined 1.3 billion viewed minutes per Nielsen. Wonderland just wrapped on the Chris Pratt vehicle Way Of The Warrior Kid for Skydance/Apple as well as Season 2 of Average Joe for Paramount+.
Clashing Through The Snow marks Roklin’s 6th team up with Amazon MGM, having produced Upgraded starring Camila Mendes, The Other Zoe starring Josephine Langford and Drew Starkey, One Fast Move with KJ Apa and Maia Reficco, Maintenance Required starring Madeline Petch and Jacob Scipio, as well as The Last Sunrise starring Maia Reficco, Eva Longoria, and Fernando Lindez based on the novel from best-selling author Anna Todd’s series After.
