The second season of Landman will be released exactly two months from today, on November 16, and Taylor Sheridan’s next big hit just got an exciting new look. The official Landman Instagram account has previewed three new images from the upcoming season, shining a spotlight on Demi Moore’s Cami Miller.
Following the death of her husband, Monty (Jon Hamm), Cami is expected to step into a much larger role in Season 2. She will work closely alongside Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), who will also have bigger shoes to fill following Monty’s passing. All three images can be found below.
Plot specifics about Landman Season 2 are being kept under wraps for now, but the ending of Season 1 left some idea of where things are heading. Stepping out of his father’s shadow is Cooper Norris (Jacob Lofland), who has lofty goals of being a different kind of Landman than his father.
His relationship with Ariana (Paulina Chávez) is also expected to carry over into Season 2, along with the complicated turmoil that accompanied it in Season 1. Expect more equally hilarious and ridiculous hijinks from Angela (Ali Larter) and Ainsley Norris (Michelle Randolph), who will certainly be around to give Tommy a hard time in Season 2.
For writer/creator Taylor Sheridan, Landman is one of only three projects airing new seasons this year. First up on the slate is Tulsa King, which will debut its highly anticipated third season next week, on September 21. A new season of Mayor of Kingstown is also set to premiere on October 26, helping to bridge the gap between Tulsa King and Landman. Sheridan also has another Yellowstone spin-off, The Madison, likely coming sometime next year, along with another season of Lioness.
Paramount has yet to announce anything beyond a Season 2 for Landman, but all signs point to the show continuing well beyond Season 2. Landman seemed to have only just found its footing after Season 1, so to see the show end abruptly after and Season 2 would be especially surprising.
Landman Season 1 was also the biggest new series ever for Paramount+, which certainly pushed the streamer to pursue future seasons of Sheridan’s hit show. Expect more big guest stars in Season 2 and potentially beyond to visit Tommy in the West Texas oil fields.
