Just like Yellowstone, Marshals, and 1883 before it, Dutton Ranch will have a country singer in its cast. Which artist will be on the call sheet for Taylor Sheridan’s latest drama? We have the details below.
Which Country Star Will Be on “Dutton Ranch”?
Deadline reports that Morgan Wade will have a recurring role in Dutton Ranch. She will play Carol, a bartender in the South Texas town of Rio Paloma.
Wade will be joining a star-studded cast in this latest Yellowstone spinoff. The show will focus on the characters of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler after the events of Yellowstone‘s series finale.
Alongside Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, the cast includes Academy Award nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening, as well as Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind. Bening will portray Beulah Jackson, a “powerful, cunning and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.” Harris plays Everett McKinney, “a weathered veteran and veterinarian who treats animals with compassion and understanding and has a good sense of humor.”
“As Beth and Rip fight to build a future together – far from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire,” the logline reads. “In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
Who Is Morgan Wade?
Wade is also recognized for her widely discussed relationship with Kyle Richards, a reality star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “There is, obviously, a lot of curiosity about [her and Wade’s relationship], always. And I can’t talk about it ad nauseam, but anything I say or do, people analyze with a magnifying glass,” Richards said back in 2024.
Wade is also known for her 2021 song “Wilder Days.” She earned an Academy of Country Music nomination for New Female Artist of the Year in 2023, alongside Hailey Whitters, Priscilla Block, Megan Moroney, and Caitlyn Smith.
Additionally, Wade’s role as a bartender is noteworthy as the artist has been pretty open about her sobriety. “It’s difficult sometimes, when you’re ready to go onstage, and you wouldn’t mind a little liquid courage,” she said. “You got a lot of downtime after you set up a new soundcheck, everyone’s sitting around, and there’s a lot of cool bars [in town] and stuff like that.”
Dutton Ranch will premiere on May 15 on Paramount+.
